Oneida Air Systems Dust Deputy 2.5 Deluxe Cyclone Separator Kit for Wet/Dry Shop Vacuums

The Dust Deputy 2.5 Cyclone Separator, Oneida Air Systems' latest innovation, is designed to effectively and affordably address the dust control needs of woodworkers and other makers. Optimized for the more powerful wet/dry vacuums that have become standard, this larger cyclone delivers up to double the airflow of smaller cyclones and lid-style separators.

Like all of Oneida's patented Dust Deputy cyclones, the 2.5 model uses centrifugal force to separate and remove up to 99% of dust and debris from the airstream before it reaches the vacuum's filter, eliminating clogged filters and suction loss. This simple and efficient design can be adapted for use with any make, size, or model vacuum, featuring female inlet and outlet ports that fit the cuffed 2.5" hoses of larger shop vacuums.

The larger cyclone better accommodates more powerful wet/dry vacuums, delivering up to twice the airflow and significantly reducing pressure drop compared to other cyclone and lid-style separators. The neutral vane inlet directs the inbound airstream down into the cyclone, preventing swirling dust-laden air from creating turbulence at the inlet and improving overall separation performance by over 20% compared to cyclones without this feature.

The Dust Deputy 2.5's plug-and-play hose connections, with female inlet and outlet ports (2.25" I.D.) that readily accept the 2.5" cuffed hose fittings standard with shop vacuums, make it quick and easy to set up. The clear, polypropylene components allow users to easily spot potential blockages within the cyclone and monitor the amount of dust being separated from the air in real-time.

Manufactured from special anti-static materials, the Dust Deputy 2.5 helps safely convey the build-up of static electricity (common in any high friction environment such as dust collection) to prevent harmful discharges and annoying static cling. The new 2.5 model features the same mounting flange (3" I.D.) as the original Dust Deputy cyclone, allowing for quick and easy upgrades of existing setups.
